Paper.io is a fast, minimalist territory-control game developed by Voodoo. It is available on browsers and as a mobile app. Despite its simple rules, the paper io game produces highly competitive and tense matches that have helped it become widely popular among casual players.

Core Gameplay

Players control a small colored square that moves continuously across a blank arena. As the square moves, it leaves a tail behind it. When the player reconnects the moving square to their existing colored territory, the enclosed area fills in and becomes part of their land. The objective is to increase territory and climb the leaderboard.

Elimination occurs in two main ways:

A player?s tail is cut by another player before it closes a loop.

A player crashes into the territory or tail of another player.

Eliminating others is simply the reverse: cutting their tail removes them from the match.
