Hey folks, heading to Antalya soon and sorting out my booking. Not super keen on handing over a fat deposit that takes weeks to come back, anyone know if no-deposit rentals are actually a real thing there or just a marketing trick?

No-deposit deals are real but they usually make up for it with a slightly higher daily rate or mandatory full insurance baked into the price, so you are still paying for the peace of mind either way. Finding a proper car rental in Turkey with no deposit upfront is easier if you check listings that mention it directly, you can see what is available here https://turkey-rentcar.ru/en/no-deposit/ . Just read the insurance fine print because waiving the deposit sometimes comes with a higher excess if something goes wrong later.

Take a time-stamped video walkaround of the car before you drive off regardless of the deposit situation, having your own proof of the condition saves you from creative damage claims later.
